Off season training happens during the Spring, Summer and fall months. Off season training focuses on various aspects to prepare me for the following Winter race season. During the off season, we do a lot of conditioning and strength training. In more simpler terms we work on endurance, balance, muscle mobility and muscle injury prevention techniques.
I work with a personal trainer 3 times a week at the gym, I do cardio outside with the help of a sighted human guide and I SUP (stand up paddle board) at least once a week with LondonSUP. Off season training keeps me busy and working hard but it is so very important for an athlete like myself to stay in tip top shape so that come winter time I am ready and able to train and race on the hill.
